Ikonopreviously known as Akamaru Photography, was founded in Tokyo in 2012 by its executive and creative director, Sebastien Lebegue.

Sebastien Lebegue

Sebastien Lebegue
CEO, Founder, Creative Director and main photographer

Sebastien Lebegue is a French awarded photographer specialized in photo reportage and portrait.
Placing the human being at the centre of his approach, his personal photography leans towards documentary, acomplete expertise that he dedicates toikono’s corporate activity for the full satisfaction of his client’s businesses.

Member for many years of the Gamma-Rapho agency in Paris, he’s also a member of the group Tokyo-Ga curated by Naoko Ohta.

Sébastien’s work has been published in the international press and is regularly exhibited in Europe, Asia and the Pacific.

Author of few monography, one of the most important project was a photo reportage on the Kanak customs of New Caledonia, leading to several exhibitions in many countries and a book Coutumekanak (Ed. Au vent des îles/ADCK-centreculturelTjibaou © 2018).
